Equalution Founders Jade & Amal Challenge Dieting Assumptions

Equalution founders Jade and Amal challenge traditional dieting by promoting a science-based 80/20 approach to nutrition.

Equalution Founders Jade & Amal Challenge Dieting Assumptions

The Do’s and Donuts of Dieting

The founders of Equalution, Jade and Amal, are challenging the way people think about dieting through their science-based, 80/20 approach. They’ve found a way for you to have your cake and eat it too, providing Equalution members with knowledge and resources to maintain a healthy relationship with food.

Devika’s collaboration with Equalution began in mid-2019 and has primarily involved app and website development. However, Jade and Amal’s journey to Equalution began well and truly before then. They were kind enough to share how their personal experience and relationship with food led them to start the business.

We were our own first clients, losing a combined weight of 50kgs. We then went on to facilitate a science-based flexible dieting method to transform thousands of bodies, minds, and lives worldwide.”

From Do Not’s to Donuts

Jade and Amal are taking us back to where it all started, sharing the reality that many people unfortunately face when trying to lose weight.

“We went to high school together and from our early teens always had the common interest of ‘dieting’. We were the girls that were always on the latest fad diet and forever watched our waistline and had a fat loss goal in mind.

“We tried every diet under the sun however the most damaging to our relationship with food was clean eating. Amal became fearful of food and Jade became a serial yo-yo dieter, going in and out of a binge and restrict cycle.

“The peak of our worst state with our relationship with our bodies and food came after 6 months of restrictive clean eating, detrimentally low calories and excessive training to compete for our first fitness model show at the ripe age of 19 and 20.

“After finding a practice that allowed us to achieve our goals and enjoy food, we made it our life mission through Equalution to change the way the world viewed nutrition”.

Impact, Defined by Jade and Amal

When we asked Jade and Amal what having an impact meant to them, they said:

“Having an impact, to us, means disrupting our industry by empowering not only the way people diet but also how they think about food through our product and message enabling results and better relationships with food.”

Extending their impact beyond the local community, Jade and Amal are providing access to educational resources and materials through the exponential growth of their social media platform.

“In reflecting on our most significant period so far, being the last 24 months, we’ve really been super fortunate to have seen change and growth in a lot of facets of the business from revenue, to team, to tech development. These for us have all been on an upward trajectory.”

So, How Many Donuts Can I Actually Have?

The Equalution team have found a friend in technology and launched the Pocket Coach Nutrition App to create and share customised meal plans with their customers.

“Over the past 18 months we have worked with Devika who have innovated our daily processes and provided a means for scaling the business with technology.”

The founders share how this collaboration has enabled them to create a more seamless customer experience and improved their accessibility.

“Since these changes we have experienced 450% growth in our revenue! Technology has not only enabled better internal processes but also bettered our user experience too.”

Equalution’s streamlined service is proving to be an efficient system, enabling Jade and Amal to continue empowering and helping their clients maintain healthy relationships with food.

Exceptional people, making impact.
